Successful writers read published works including those in their genre; and new ones read 'how to' for writers publications.  Many of these books are produced by Writer's Digest Magazine.  This magazine or similar ones should be part of the reading habits of all writers who expect to publish. Well, maybe they will publish in some vanity press publisher who has more interest in a writer's bank check than the liability content of that author. Our best writers are those that read, read, read, along with their write, write, write.

"I don't believe in writing anything that I don't know about or haven't researched about personally. I like to transport the reader to places, and in order to do that I have to do the research." ~ Jackie Collins
