Southwest Valley Writing Group

We are now an On-line Writing Critique Group!

We no longer are an Arizona only group!

We now encourage interstate and long-distance writers!

Great for writers who leave town during the summer or whenever!

Good for those with tight schedules!

Reduces driving, traffic, rush-hour meetings!

A gas savings! With gas soon at $5/gallon, the Internet saves money!

Writing partners do all the critiques on-line!

Ends chitchat that extend meeting time!

Ends meetings where too many critiques seem to go on forever!

Ends cancelled or postponed meetings when everyone can't attend.

Writers join on a term basis.

New groups form every year!

And we're free!

The new format...

1. Takes longer to form a new group, but worth the time.
2. Allows for new writers to join.
3. A group section lasts a 'writing season.'  The writing partners establish the length (about six-months) and then they disband for another section to recycle the process.
4. Writing partners do not meet face-to-face.
5. Past participation no longer assures a spot in the new section.
6. Writing genre is very limited.
7. Sadly, we no longer accept novices or those with manuscripts in progress.

"Writing is sweat and drudgery most of the time. And you have to love it in order to endure the solitude and the discipline."
 ~ Peter Benchley
